Smoking Kimono Top

I made this top from some crushed panne velvet:

My mother artist friends think it is the female version of the smoking jacket. Where are my playgirl bunnies, I ask you?

I can't decide if I will resume blogging here, or keep everything over at kali_mama. I have a few months before my premium comes due.

I did finish the vintage culottes. I'll try to post a pic soon.

Here are some sewing and knitting updates, to inspire myself:

A garter stitch, mohair shawl for my MIL which I affectionately call "The Rectangle." More zombie knitting.

A spiral scarf, my "design." (AKA how many stitches do I need to get the width I want?) Technique stolen from Teva Durham.

My husband's Father's Day socks for 2001. I hope this isn't indicative of our relationship in any way. Ready to turn the heel.

There, now let's hope I will finish something. Right after the holidays, that is. I do have an important Shadow Knitting Skull hat to knit for a nephew for Christmas first.
